ABOUT ME
Welcome to my webpage!
I am a musician specialised in early music and a visual artist who uses collage as a medium to create.
Inspired by the ancient world and its fantasy, the collages I create revolve around the combination of images taken from manuscripts of past centuries, plants collected in nature and text.
The infinite colours, shapes and textures of plants provide me with an inexhaustible source of possibilities which allow me to imagine parallel realities or impossible creatures.
proCeSs
A big part of the process of making my collages is based on collecting plants and images.
Almost at any time I can find plants around me: walking down the street, in a nearby park or in the middle of a hike in the mountains. That's why I almost always carry a book with me where I keep all the plants before pressing them at home.
The same goes for images: I always like to browse through second-hand libraries, a forgotten attic or a box on the street with objects to give away. And of course I can't forget all the material that digital libraries offer me.
